KUALA LUMPUR: There's a budding online auto insurance platform in town and it's called Fincrew. Fincrew pitches itself as a one-stop shop where potential insurance buyers get to compare policies, get quotes, and make an insurance buying decision online. The start-up company claims that insurance buyers can compare, modify, and buy an insurance policy or multiple policies, in less than three minutes. Fincrew offers access to several insurers, policies, comparison tools, road tax renewal and new upcoming services.
It was set up last October with around US$1mil (RM4mil) funding by digital marketer NickMetrics Marketing Agency. NickMetrics was set up in 2017 by Nick Lai to help businesses connect with their target audiences. Lai co-founded Fincrew with Jeff Yap in 2020 to fill a gap in the auto insurance sector.
